Jared Jones is a senior partner with global consulting firm Partners in Leadership, and one of the co-authors of the company’s newly released book Propeller. The company has already published three New York Times bestsellers and are anticipating Propeller to follow suit. For the last 18 years, 70% of the American workforce has been either actively or passively disengaged at work. That number hasn’t changed significantly in all that time because of accountability issues. There is a need for a modern guide to accountability implementation in organizations. Jones says, “In today’s world of constant change and increased pressure to go faster, getting accountability right has become critical to any team or organization delivering needed results. Complaining and waiting to say ‘I told you so’ is highly unproductive and unfulfilling. It’s a miserable place to be.”Jones says there’s a simple premise: When people take personal ownership of their organization’s priorities and accept responsibility for their own performance, they become more engaged and perform at a higher level.
